CCF gives presentation at New Generation School on food safety

Officials from Consumer Protection, Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) under the Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with New Generation School of Preah Sisowath High School, disseminated the law on food safety and relevant legal provisions to more than 400 students, teachers and food vendors on March 9.

Phan Oun, Director General of CCF, said that the presentation on the law was to give participants knowledge on the rights of consumers as well as on how they can find safe food for their daily consumption.

He said that this legal education work will enable students to understand the dangers of banned chemical substances and lack of hygiene in food which could lead to contamination with bacteria. They also learned about requirements for packaging, transporting, storing and producing food. Participants also learned the impacts of drug use on their health.
